Cameroon will be represented at the Africa-France Summit at Bordeaux in France from the 4th to the 6th of June 2020.

L’Ambassadrice du Sommet Afrique-France, Stéphanie Rivoal en séjour au Cameroun, est venue solliciter la participation de notre pays à ce Sommet. Elle s’est exprimée au cours d’une audience que lui a accordée le Ministre de l’Economie, de la Planification et de l’Aménagement du Territoire, Alamine Ousmane Mey, le 02 mars 2020.

Stephanie Rivoal explained that this summit had as theme ‘’Sustainable Towns and Territories’’ and aimed at bringing together different stake holders and startups of developmental projects in Africa, to meet with their comrades in France and partner with them as well as seek financing on executing developmental projects for the urban and rural areas of Cameroon.

With the Minister they talked about urban development projects for Cameroon and Africa as a whole,and agreed that a delegation ofcompanies, start ups, as well as mayors from Cameroon will be present at the summit to find partners and build these projects back in Cameroon.
Stephanie Rivoal equally added that these are part of the development goals especially in the wake of the fast urbanization of the African continent and the exponential growing needs of access to water, electricity, housing , agricultural produce and jobs for the youths. The ambassador hailed the solid relationship France has with Cameroon and expressed the wish that the upcoming summit will be a success.
